It just got better.
16x7 Konig Rewind wheels with 205-55/16 Dunlop Direzza tires. So smooth, I can’t wait to rail some corners.

Oh yes...

That looks awesome. Minilite-style wheels just work.
Let us know how those DZ102s hold up! I’m eyeballing a set for my Camaro; heard good things about them.

Pretty close to a Panasport? Every time I see an early Z car it reminds me of a friend’s Aurora GTO from way back. Cool cars.

Yes they are the least expensive wheel of this type, very popular with the Z community.

Well they look good! Mine are 15". I wanted some sidewall since the original wheels had a lot. I did the wheels and suspension at the same time so I can’t say what just the wheel change felt like. The Eibach springs and Tokico shock with my Enkei wheels changed it dramatically. You have to get a rear disc kit. Before body and paint and dealer option side trim removal:

Are there any hi-po parts available for the Z’s I6? Or do you add a huffer (or swap engines) if you’re after more power?

Yes there a ton of aftermarket parts available. The most popular is a cam and headers, then it’s carbs, then it’s a bigger engine like a bored and stroked L28. You can build an NA L28 up to 300ish HP but my car is all original and unmodified.

It is actually in great condition and I just finished another clean, polish and wax so it’s extra sparkly .

I looked at 15's and it’s either some not great options in a 195-60 or go with something like a 215-50 and I know the 16's are easy to get and look good. It does ride better than the poopy 14's that were on there and tire vibration is gone.

At 2300lb 300hp would be insanely fun.

Yeah when I got my tires there were a few options for less aggressive stuff, I ended up getting Toyo Versado Noir . I think next time I will get one of the softer almost track tires. I would get an LSD if I did anything more. I need some better seats too, maybe if we get back to work one of these days. I have been eyeing some Classic Car Seats that he said had been put in a Z before. It’s such a pain not having the car at home, it’s like going to take a boat out every time I drive it. I have to unlock all the security stuff, uncover it, get it started and put it all away when I go back. It would start easier if I could just warm it up every few days. The triple carbs need a bunch of coaxing, pumping of fuel, I unhook the filter box when I start it too. Once it’s ready it fires right up.

I don’t envy that position . I love having my toys in a big garage a few steps from the house. This car is one of the easiest I’ve ever had for starting and general driving around. Who ever had it before me kept it in tip top mechanical condition.
Yes.. those seats. I’ve got the complete rebuild kits with foam, webbing, an covers and will start that soon. I’ll let you know how that goes.

10/10 can confirm. Do you like adrenaline rushes? This all about adrenaline rushes.

Well the starting up is my fault, it isn’t started often and all that carberation needs to be juiced up before it will stay started. I was thinking of something like this:

I guess that means it’s free to give away.
